Detroit Events Center

Construction of Events Center Creates More Than 8,000 Jobs in Detroit

Field Control Analytics provided construction management tools to Barton Marlow in the building of The Detroit Events Center. This multi-purpose building replaced the Joe Louis Arena and is the new home of the Detroit Red Wings.

The 785,000 square-foot facility houses the entire Red Wings practice facility, including an ice rink, locker rooms, and training facilities.  The 20,000-seat arena is designed to enhance fan experience by incorporating “gondola” seating, a video wall, a public plaza and a player walkthrough area.

The $650 million development project also includes residential, retail, and office facilities in downtown Detroit. The construction of the new events center will create approximately 8,300 jobs. Detroit residents will fill more than half of the construction jobs. FCA supported the seamless onboarding, tracking and management of this workforce.
